Lohi Linen Matariki Fashion Show

8 Charlemont Street

Saturday, 11 July 2026 5:00pm - 10:00pm

Every July we host our Matariki fashion show — a two-night celebration of design, community, and slow fashion in the heart of the Maniatoto.

This is not your typical fashion show. No big stage, no formal runway — just an intimate, warm, content-driven evening in one of Central Otago's most special spaces.

The Show

The highlight of the night belongs to our local Year 7 and 8 students, who design their own pieces using recycled materials and model them in front of their families and community. It's the soul of the show — and the moment everyone remembers.

Otago Fashion School designers and local Central Otago makers follow, showcasing their work in an intimate setting. The Lohi Linen collection closes the show — worn by community models and our special guests Jaide and Kodi, known to many as faces from Love Island Australia.

Our special guests

Jaide grew up in Central Otago. Coming back to the Maniatoto for Matariki is a homecoming as much as an appearance. Jaide and Kodi will close the Saturday show wearing the Lohi Linen collection — and will be with us across the full Matariki weekend.

On the night

  • Doors open 5:00pm — welcome drink on arrival

  • Show begins 6:00pm

  • The Thirsty Moa bar open throughout — Wooing Tree wines, cocktails, food boards

  • Lohi Linen collection available to purchase in-store post-show

  • 360 camera and photo props throughout the evening

  • Local Central Otago designers' work available to purchase on the night
